Is it possible to understand how the choices we make, as developers, web designers, creatives, impact people's lives and whether the platforms we create actually bring an improvement in the lives of users? And what can we do so that the platforms we develop do not turn from good to bad ?Just think of the internet, increasingly used for the management (but also exploitation, use and manipulation) of elements that touch people's lives:sensitive data;economic transactions (banking, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies);use of information and fake.

In fact, now that the web is an important part of our lives (and that of our children), those who create websites and those who deal with web design can no longer escape their ethical responsibility .The ethical responsibilities of those who develop websitesWeb development, like any other human creative activity, should be assessable by ethical criteria of "good" and "bad" towards end users. In these cases, ethics allows us to establish the appropriateness of design choices with a view to longevity for the benefit of end users.
Perhaps adopting the term ethics when talking about sites and web applications may seem exaggerated to you, but try to think about how much online products, such as social networks, which today significantly influence our lives and the society in which we live, must be seemed innocent when they were born in the minds of their respective creators.A platform that stores user data without explaining what use it makes of it, or that does not protect its users from spam or security breaches, we can classify as "wrong" from the point of view of design ethics.Even if these were not strictly illegal violations or shortcomings, we would still have configurations that were not designed to meet the minimum safety standards that people expect.
