The need for change. Looking to the future, they see the world and customer needs changing. However, even with this awareness, legacy systems remain and many employees still require training to learn new skills. We need to evolve and go through a revolution to get to a very different place as quickly as possible, but it's hard to do that quickly in a company this big. What are some of the most successful strategies you’ve used in driving this revolution? John Hancock asked me to be a change agent about a year ago, and bringing in people with different backgrounds and a range of different skills helps to see different opportunities and figure out how to create a way forward. We started entering the direct-to-consumer proposition space through acquisitions, which gave us a head start and brought in new technology and team members with different perspectives on the opportunity set.
